An out-of-town birder contacted me yesterday afternoon that there is a female-type Western Tanager near Crandon Gardens, Key Biscayne. It's opposite the main entrance to the gardens. This area attracts warblers, vireos and White-crowned Pigeons. On Tuesday there were 6 warbler species there, including Magnolia.

Western Tanager continues near north entrance to Crandon Gardens, Key Biscayne. It doesn't vocalize, which makes it hard to find. We were able to include it today (2/12) on our survey for the Miami Winter Bird Count.
