Conservation Intern

Bolster TAS's four conservation agenda items based on your interest(s) in:

  • Southern Everglades
  • Biscayne Bay water issues
  • Land Use/Urban Development Boundary Line
  • Bird Conservation/Urban Greening
  • Legal Intern

    Help prepare TAS’s talking points, letters of position and perform legal research on the four areas of conservation that fall within TAS's four conservation agenda items:

  • Southern Everglades
  • Biscayne Bay water issues
  • Land Use/Urban Development Boundary Line
  • Bird Conservation/Urban Greening
  • Habitat Restoration Intern

    Help steward the Tropical Audubon-owned Porter Russell Pine Rockland, a remnant of Miami-Dade's most threatened habitat; opportunities include:

  • Creation of an informational brochure about the Pine Rockland habitat
  • Development of a neighborhood awareness program
  • Trail marking & maintenance
  • Native landscape stewardship at our Steinberg Nature Center South Miami campus
  • Education Intern 

    Assist the Outreach Coordinator, the Education Specialist & the Events Coordinator. Responsibilities include: 

  • Help develop educational materials
  • Add to programming
  • Outreach to schools & groups
  • Assist with events

  • Help create media advisory content
