Western Spindalis continues at Cape Florida
I had limited time in Cape Florida yesterday (2/20) and unfortunately, Brian and I didn't cross paths. There was an influx of Northern Parulas, Common Yellowthroats and Blue-gray Gnatcatchers in the two areas I covered.
The two continuing female Western Spindalis showed up northeast from their original location. They were near the intersection of the service road and the powerline cut, about 150 yards south of the administration building. On 2/12, Yve and Miriam saw them farther south along this service road. They now call less and seem more difficult to see but it's nice that they're still around.
