I had my first Belted Kingfisher this season on July 29 in the West Miramar WCA. Also, this morning I saw my first-ever Barn Owl for this patch (or County) about 10 minutes before sunrise, also in same location. No photo obtained but no question as to ID. Worth all the mosquitoes and Deer Flies!
