TAS Walk Highland Oaks Park 9/22

TAS Highland Oaks Park 9/22 Despite the high winds, we were able to find 35 bird species ! I was joined by ten birders originally but as the walk progressed we added several more for a total of 14 happy faces. The majority of the birds were found along the jogger's circle located on the Northside of the park. A big thanks to everyone for their participation and I hope to see all and more for the next walk on October 13, 2019 at 8am. The following is list of what was seen: Egyptian Goose, Muscovy Duck, feral Rock Pigeon, Eurasian Collared-Dove, Mourning Dove, Common Gallinule, Anhinga, Great Blue Heron, Green Heron, White Ibis, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, Monk Parakeet, Gray Kingbird, Yellow-throated Vireo, Red-eyed Vireo, Blue Jay, Fish Crow, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, European Starling, Northern Mockingbird, Common Grackle, Boat-tailed Grackle, Black-and-white Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, American Redstart, Black-throated blue Warbler, Yellow-throated Warbler, Prairie Warbler, Northern Cardinal, Yellow-chevroned Parakeet, Domestic goose species. Seen by others in Group: Northern Parula, Ovenbird, Ruby-throated Hummingbird.
