TAS walk - AD Barnes Park 4/23/16

Dodging anticipated showers, 20 or so birders joined the TAS walk at AD Barnes under beautiful skies. Beautiful weather, though, can mean that spring migrants have flown over without stopping, and the birding was somewhat slow. We did get some clear views of a cooperative Yellow-billed Cuckoo for everyone, until it was spooked off by a leaf blower crew. We also had two flyovers of a small flock of Cedar Waxwings.
A few warblers were about, but frequently were high in the trees; still, most got looks at 7 species of warbler, including a pair of Blackpolls.
Thanks everyone who participated!

A few photos of the distant or impossibly hyperactive birds I was able to see are on my flickr site photostream

1st 16 photos--if you get to the 3 wattled bellbird videos, you've gone too far...

thanks, Bill and everyone else who attended and who were kind enough to point out what I would have, as usual, missed...
