TAS Eastern Panama: Canal Zone and Darien Trip Report

Nine birders joined me for Tropical Audubon's Eastern Panama: Canal Zone and Darien birding tour from 10/31 to 11/9. During our tour, which included three nights at Canopy Tower and six nights at Canopy Camp Darien, 290 bird species were tallied, including both Harpy and Crested Eagle, plus 28 other raptors, 15 hummingbirds, 5 trogons, 7 puffbirds, 3 jacamars, 9 woodpeckers, 9 parrots, 18 antbirds, 32 flycatchers, 8 wrens and 15 blackbirds and orioles! We also identified twelve mammal species (the bats we saw went unidentified). A detailed trip report is linked below.

Wow, Brian. That was one hell of a trip. I'm happy to see that traffic on the Bird Board is picking up. Keep up the good work.
