Storm-Petrels in close today

While trying to do some bottom fishing off Ocean Reef today I saw 8-10 Wilson's Storm-Petrels and a Leach's Storm-Petrel. I saw the Leach's while cruising in only 60 feet of water, and I never ventured out beyond 135 feet. There were also a few Bridled Terns around. Just and FYI for those going on Sunday's pelagic trip out of BNP. Good luck out there.

It sucked. A local charter captain on the radio said it best when he reported catching 1/2 yellowtail and a triggerfish. He said "Tough day for me." to which the other captain he was speaking to replied "Tough day for everybody." I heard of one boat that ran 28 miles offshore without catching or seeing a single mahi. Ouch! Remember, May is the best month for fishing off Florida.
I guess thats why you also bird at the same time. Fishing not catching. GODBLESS!!!!
