Spanish River

I spent an hour or so at the north end of Spanish River after work today; there was a sprinkling of early migrants. I found about a dozen prairie warblers, 2 black and white, 2 cape may, and singleton black-throated blue, common yellowthroat, and American redstart. Most of the diversity was at the maintenance yard area. There was a spotted sandpiper in beautiful plumage down by the police dock.
