I birded the L8 canal in western Palm Beach Co. this morning. Found 2, together, smooth billed ani's. They were being harrassed by 2 mockingbirds. I was very surprised to find them.

Cheryl, your photo link isn't working. Also, could you be more specific about where you saw the birds? I may not be the only one who doesn't know where the L8 Canal is located.
L 8 canal is off state road 80 just west of the huge development and east of the aggregates. Go about 1 to 2 miles north, under the high voltage line, to the west. This is a very interesting road. The caracara has been seen at the very end which is about 7 miles up the road. I have seen the white tallied kite on this road last year. (Brian, how does one down load pictures)
