Seawatch Opportunity

If anyone is near the coast and has the time, conditions are ideal for a seawatch. Current winds at Fowey are ENE at 36 gusting to 39 knots. These are much stronger than anything we got during Hurricane Mathew. We already had a report of a Sabine's Gull from Boynton Inlet. With the deep water just a mile offshore, that's an excellent location. Here closer to home Newport Pier is another good spot. I hope somebody has the time to check.

Smith sent me photos of a Manx Shearwater he got from Newport Pier yesterday.
Do you or Smith plan to publish the photos?
We are still looking at the photos to be sure what it is. Smith should be the one to post his own photos. I will be glad to post them with his permission. The plumage on the bird is very worn which complicates the I.D.
