Had a female on my firebush yesterday and again this morning. This is the latest I've seen them here. It's been almost three weeks since our regulars were last seen in the yard. Must be just passing through....

I have read that some stay around year long, though that has not been the experience in my yard. I hadn't seen any in about a month, so I stopped refreshing the nectar feeder. (I also have firespike and fire bush.) I had an occasional bunting come by this week, but they also seem to have left South Florida.
