Bird Board
Robin spectacular
I was fortunate to be on a dirt road running west parallel to the north boundary of Viera Wetlands at sunset this evening, as astronomical numbers of American Robins began to fly over head at tree top height. I couldn't begin to count them, but tens of thousands would be conservative. The flock was continuous for over half an hour. Birds were actually singing as they landed in the adjacent trees, an added treat.
If you are in the area (I-95 exit 191), it's worth staying till sunset to see this.

I witnessed the same event from my house in Jan 2005. Uncountable numbers of Robins flew east to west at sunrise for about 5 minutes nonstop. They rarely make it this far south at all, and only once have I seen this many down here.
When I first saw the subject, I thought you meant that our own Robin (Diaz) is spectacular, in which case I would have to agree.
Ha ha Toe that's funny, I thought the same thing about our Robin.
