Around 6 this afternoon, I spotted one single Red-necked Phalarope at the Boynton Inlet. This time there was not hanky-panky of diving sea ducks (actually they were sea birds and most likely Audubon's Shearwater) but that's not the point. This time, I had to quickly swap lens since I was shooting wide angle for fun until I saw the Red-necked Phalarope. The bird remained a decent distance from the shore for 10 minutes but not too far as they tend to do mostly. It had a small needle-like bill, was mostly bobbing on the larger waves.
