congrats..was it 1 or more? here in boynton my earliest was oct 3 and average first is late oct

They've been at the feeders at Green Cay in Boynton this weekend at least - not sure if they were there earlier than that as I can only visit on weekends, but they were there Saturday and Sunday. At least 2 spotted - 1 male and 1 female.
I agree..It seems so early..October is the month I normally get Painted Buntings..And I have been getting them for many years..
Last year was the first time the Buntings came to my feeders.
I am having coffe and watching one now. I live in a townhouse and my yard is fairly small. We do have several feeders which are filled at all times . Took us 9 years to attract ANY bird to our yard so it is pretty exciting for us.
