I found a Buff-breasted Sandpiper just past Benito Juarez Park along the road to ENP. A little later, Larry and others searched for the Buff-breasted and found a Baird's Sandpiper in the same area, which I returned to see. Buff-breasted and Baird's on the same day close to home: priceless.

And on this date in 2016 (today) I searched for buff-bellied sandpipers in the same field, but did not find any. A little later I also looked for the same sandpipers along SW 217 ave. and found two upland sandpipers and had a tire blow out along a field road. The guy from AAA wanted to know what I was doing out there...I told him I was thinking the same thing. Maybe they'll be here next week.
