Northern Gannets have trickled by for the past 7-10 days but today was the first all-day steady stream of birds. I counted over 100 birds in 6 minutes this afternoon and so far, all birds are adults.

Hi Robin. Can you recommend a viewing area?
In central Miami-Dade, the best view may be from South Pointe Park (Miami Beach), next to Government Cut. The north ends of Virginia Key Beach and Crandon Beach can be pretty good. Sea ducks should be showing up very soon and a Red-breasted Merganser was recently seen in Biscayne NP.
The best viewing area is my boat. Everyone is welcome. Email if interested. fornax123@bellsouth.net. You may have to copy and paste the address since clicking on it doesn't always work.
Thanks folks!
Eloso, Toe is a good option, especially if you haven't done a Miami-Dade pelagic. You will definately fill out your species list.
I've definitely heard that Toe is an excellent captain.
We were offshore to about 18 miles on Thursday and, with the exception of gannets within 3 miles of shore, saw very few pelagics.
I'm sure after this front things will liven up!
