Mountain Bluebird, Oasis Visitor Center, Big Cypress National Preserve, YES!

The Mountain Bluebird at Oasis Visitor Center in Big Cypress National Preserve continues this afternoon. It perches on a variety of structures at the east end of the parking area. Thanks to Angel and Mariel Abreu for pointing out its location as soon as I arrived. This is my first sighting of this species in Florida; I missed the one seen in Everglades National Park in December 2002.

Still here as of 1045. Actively working area near wooden fence. NOTE park closes at 430
Just to let you know that only the visitor center building will be closed at 4:30; the parking lot will still be open.
Bluebird was still the as of 2 PM.
