One of about 15 images of the buff bellied on my Flickr photostream, photographed today--part of hummer photo practice in anticipation of a costa Rican trip in March. Much technique to be learned.
About 15 pictures in is a photo of an insect I was told is a bee

Green Orchid Bee, Euglossa dilemma, recently introduced into the US and first detected in Broward County in 2003. Females use propolis from European honey bee hives to make their nests (I'm a beekeeper in Brevard County -- we have them here), and males store fragrance ingredients from flowers in their hollow hind legs to woo females.
