Matheson Hammock 5/7/16- Connecticut Warbler, White-rumped Sandpiper

Birded the entire park today and found some great migrants. The Connecticut Warbler found yesterday was relocated foraging in the leaf litter of the hammock trail bordering the street in the picnic area, near the restrooms. I then found a White-rumped Sandpiper among many Semipalmated Sandpipers along the exposed rocky shore in the parking area of the lagoon. Other highlights included Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Swainson's and Gray-cheeked Thrushes, Scarlet Tanager, Eastern Wood-pewee and two Red-eyed Vireos. I have attached the eBird checklist.
