limpkin invasion- urban breeding

Mama limpkin with two small chicks working the canal bank at sunrise blvd just west of the turnpike. No obvious nest site in the vicinity. More like cranes than ibis, fuzzy chicks walk and forage

To piggyback on the urban invasion thread, I had a limpkin in Bill Baggs on Friday afternoon. Just strolling along in the parking lot near the restaurant. Seemed really out of place to me.
