Kendale Lakes Park -- Blackburnian, Tennessee (10/02)

It was a great day to be out today if you were looking for migrant songbirds! There are multiple fruiting strangler figs throughout Kendale Lakes Park right now, attracting a wide assortment of migrants that use the sugar-rich fruit as fuel for their journey.

Of the ten warbler species I observed, 'best' were two Blackburnian and four Tennessee. Swainson's Thrush (4), Summer Tanager (2), Scarlet Tanager, and Baltimore Oriole (4) were also in the park.
