Kendale Lakes and Hammocks -- Nashville Warbler (17 warblers total)

Eliana Ardila and I did some Kendall CBC scouting today in the Kendale Lakes and Hammocks area. Although all of the parks and bird-friendly wooded areas of this suburban area are small, they host an impressive variety of wintering species together: 17 warbler species, 3 vireo species, Baltimore Oriole, Summer Tanager, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, etc. All of these small parks are easily searchable via Google for directions.

Highlights for each:

Olympic Park: Orange-crowned Warbler

Kendale Lakes Park: Yellow-throated Vireo, Summer Tanager (2)

Wild Lime Center Park: Yellow-throated Vireo, White-eyed Vireo, Orange-crowned Warbler (2), NASHVILLE WARBLER, Cape May Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler

Kings Meadow Park: Yellow-throated Vireo, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Magnolia Warbler

Sugarwood Park: Black-throated Green Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Yellow Warbler
