Juvenile Wood Stork
I was at the Cutler Wetlands today and saw a wading bird that I assumed was a juvenile wood stork. It's body was spotted black and white with large spots. The head and beak looked like a wood stork. It was feeding in the shallows across the street from the main wetlands area. Problem is I could not find one picture on the Internet of a wood stork that had these large white and black spots on its
body.
Has any one else seen this bird and identified what it is?

Have you tried Limpkin?
Brian, the white and black spots are 3 to 4 inches in diameter or so - much larger than the Limpkin's spots
