A few minutes ago I saw a greenie Painted Bunting at my front feeder. I have now seen one in my yard June, July, & August---for the first time ever!

That's awesome ! What kind of bird feed do you use and which dishes do your recommend for bird baths?
Cajunspice- I usually put out a mix feed. Also, I use black seeds. For the bird bath, I have a generic one I picked up online at bestnest.com
ENJOY!
I use a Finch seed mix from my local feed store. This mix contains lots of white millet, which the Painted Buntings love to eat.
Thank you kindly Kristina and Mary !
Yes, as the other two people said, white millet is the seed Painted Buntings prefer--so any mix with a high concentration of this will do. The bird bath is just one I got from Home Depot--a cement pedestal with a separate bowl that sits on top. The main thing is to have one with o surface that is not slippery for the birds so they can grip it well. Also, there may be other suggestions on "Bird feeding tips" on this website.
Thank You Jeanette.
