Green Cay: Virginia rail, Reddish egret, warbler activity up

This Sunday at Green Cay, I heard two Virginia rails calling out, and managed to track one down for a photo - first time I've been able to photograph one of them. Still am not seeing sora surprisingly, but these Virginia are the first rails I've seen so far this fall/winter.

The reddish egret continues, now going on 4 weeks. He's successfully fishing, and seems to be happy sticking around.

Lots of warbler and migrant activity this weekend. Pines, prairies, palms, yellow-rumpeds, common yellowthroats, yellow-throateds, black-throated blues, northern parula, American redstart all in good numbers.
