There was a lone Greater Flamingo on the Oceanside of Elliot Key yesterday. It was approximately 1/2 mile south of the north tip. I watched it feed and preen for 30 minutes. It was not banded. I was assuming this was the same bird I saw on Elliot in mid-September but after reviewing my photos the September bird was a subadult and yesterday's bird was an adult.

I presume that you are referring to American Flamingos, as there is no record of Greater Flamingo in North America.
