Franklin's Gulls still there and other birds

The Franklin's Gulls are still in the field originally described by Larry, however, they are now best viewed from 107th Ave. directly across from the lake. I was able to pick out 4 this afternoon, which fortunately were sort of separate from the rest of the gulls and actively walking around and feeding closer to the road. There were hundreds of gulls and also a large flock of blackbirds and several shorebird species including 4 American Avocets, both yellowlegs, Dowitchers, 2 Wilson's Snipe, a single Stilt Sandpiper, and many Killdeer. A scope would definitely have helped.

Had 4 FRGU this morning (12.14.15 from 7:15-7:45) as well as a single Bonaparte's Gull in the flooded field. Mornings may be easier since there are not as many gulls around. I went out Saturday afternoon and there were easily twice if not triple the amount of birds in the field BUT the field was also a lot more flooded. Good luck to those chasing!
