I was very happy to see a Swallow-tailed kite over Highland beach yesterday. This remote shoreline in Everglades Natl. has been in the news recently; there was a great white shark there two weeks ago and 80 false killer whales stranded just north of it the year prior.

Great sighting, Juan. It looks like the kite is right on time for a first arrival, with February 20 being the usual FOY sightings.
