Zoo Miami's Conservation Department is actively trying to locate this flamingo who is thought to be injured. We are trying to secure the proper permits to rehab this bird and attach a satellite tracker upon its release. This opportunity could possibly give us invaluable information about the species in which so little is known. As some of you may know a team at the zoo has been doing a lot of research to get to the bottom of their origins. For more information you can click on the link that I provided about the study.
