Earliest warbler sightings

There was a female redstart and a black and white warbler in my yard in the past day. I’ve never seen either bird this early in the season. Anyone else see warblers in early August?

I saw, and photographed, an American Redstart, Northern Parula, Prairie and Black and White Warblers and a number of Blue-gray Gnatcatchers along the Plantation Preserve Linear Park Trail in Plantation yesterday. They were all very actively feeding in the same area, between the 250 and 300 yard markers. I was surprised to see them.

Southbound warblers begin to arrive in south Florida in mid to late July, though Louisiana Waterthrush sometimes arrives in early July. I've already seen six different warbler species in the Kendall/West Kendall area. My first Black-and-white and Yellow-throated Warblers were seen on July 21, followed by Northern Parula and Prairie Warblers on July 22, Yellow Warbler on July 29 and American Redstart on July 30.

Thank you, Brian. Makes me look forward to the “season”.

I already have Black-and-white, Redstart, Yellow-throated and Prairie. Though not a warbler, also Red-eyed Vireo today. The above were all seen at Kendall Indian Hammocks Park.
