Hi,
There is a small dove on a wire in front of the Kings Head Bar on Dania Beach Blvd. it has a prominent orange eye ring, gray head and neck, and fine white speckles on brown to ruddy wings. The tail is fairly long and pointy. I don't see anything in the guide that makes sense. Thanks,

Sounds like a Diamond Dove from Australia. Escaped cage bird
Thank you Stephen - that's it! Different silhouette from any native dove, which prompted me to make a u-turn and check it out. Managed to see a dark phase short-tailed hawk from the same spot. Nice morning. Thanks again.
