Cedar waxwing - locations?

I'm having no luck spotting the cedar waxwing birds. I tried Plantation preserve last week but they were no where to be found. Any specific spots that have better chances of sighting them?

I did find the brown thrasher in Plantation preserve for the first time.

I was at Plantation Preserve Yesterday Morning.
There were at least 120 Waxwings in two flocks. They like the evergreen like trees with the small white berries. Theses trees are found in three main spots, parking lot west of the clubhouse there is a long line of these trees (American Robin was there also) as you drive in before the roundabout there is a small grove on the right, by the trail head there is a grove that extends to the 10nth Hole and borders peoples backyards.
There is also a Baltimore Oriole floating around and past the Indian mound is the location of the American Bittern. If you need help finding them I will be back in town Sunday.

Steve, can you explain to me how to get to plantation preserve? Last time i tried, the gps took me to the trail entrance but there was no parking. Thank you!

Plantation Preserve is a hot Spot on ebird.
It is located on Broward Blvd and 70th Ave, across the street from the Publix shopping center. It is also a Golf course, with the linear trail running thru the middle. Most people park on the East side by the playground and trail head. I also check out the West side and the water hazard (pond) next to the clubhouse for Sandpipers and Yellowlegs.

Great tips Steve. I never stopped at the parking lot and was always walking the linear trail. Please drop a line if you have plans going there this Sunday. I'll try to make it (can confirm only on Saturday if I can).

Address of Plantation preserve golf course
7050 W Broward Blvd, Plantation, FL 33317

Once you enter there is a children's play area nearby is the trail head Sign.

Plantation Preserve Jan 17 (SUN).
Minimum 70 birds located along the most western parking lot. 11:45 AM They were foraging on the evergreen trees (I think Red Cedar) and resting in the live Oak.

Sorry I couldn't make it sunday morning. I went today at 3 PM. I found a big flock sitting on the broward blvd & university driver signal which I believe are the waxwings. But they were not found in the parking lot area of the preserve. I saw a walkway on the west side of parking area along people's backyards by the golf course. I was not sure whether non-golfers can trail or not. So I didn't.

I did find this gem in the parking lot area. Not sure what type of Humming bird it is. if you do, pls share.
