Buff-bellied, Rufous, and Ruby-throated Hummingbirds remain at Castellow Hammock Park
Checked out Castellow Hammock Park around 10:00am this morning where you can still observe the buff-bellied (frequents the Pavonia tree in front of the bench), Rufous (feeding on the flowers of the Hamelia's in front of the park), and Ruby-throated Hummingbirds hanging around the Chinese hat-plant. It is not everyday that you can see these three species of hummingbirds in the same area. There were eight Scissor-tailed Flycatchers and two Western Kingbirds on the power lines before you turn off at the entrance to the Southern Glades Trail.

Had anyone seen a Rufous Hummingbird at Castellow prior to Jim's report? I haven't seen any reports this season.
