Black-legged Kittiwake - NO

Arrived at the William O. Lockhart Municipal Pier in Palm Beach county at 7:15 this morning and as of 12:15pm have not relocated the bird but did see my state Red-throated Loon flyby heading south. I also had about 6 Red-breasted Mergansers flyby heading south, as well as ~50 Black Scoters heading in the same direction.

Hi Rangel. Does one have to scope to see these birds?

From what Rangel told me, the birds flew by real close. The Scoters looked like they were about to go under the pier before skirting just outside of it. Rangel doesn't have a scope, so apparently one is not need, but it helps for the birds farther offshore.

I did not have to use a scope to see any of the birds. They fly right past the end of the pier allowing for good views. I actually thought the second flock of scoters was going to fly right over the middle of the pier but they veered around at the last moment!
