Black- Hawk ?

This morning while running in Gables By the Sea in Coral Gables I was surprised to briefly see a large, black hawk on the ground. It had a distinct white mid-tail band, was definitely black with the one large band. I did not have time to see whether it had a smaller distal tail band
To me it appeared to be a Common Black-Hawk. I researched them and saw that they had been reported on Virginia Key years ago. In our neighborhood there is a colony of blue land crabs and there are nearby canals and mangroves. Have there been any recent sightings ?

The Virginia Key bird was a Great Black-Hawk. See Robin Diaz's overview at http://www.tropicalaudubon.org/birds/south-floridas-birds/florida-specialties/virginia-key-great-black-hawk. Robin responded to a Black-Hawk question earlier today, stating that her last sighting was in November, 2015.
