My sister in law says she spotted a bird she described as follows on her feeder:
Black wings, back and black crested head, Bright red belly, About as big as a blue jay.
Any clues?

Your description matches a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
If it has a black crest it might be a Red-whiskered Bulbul
