I've had good results using using hummer feeders with the little molded "baskets", usually yellow, that prevent the bees from getting to the apertures. Hummer bills are easily long enough to poke through them.

I've always heard not to use yellow with hummingbird feeders as yellow is the most enticing color for bees/wasps. If yours is yellow, consider repainting red.
You can also sometimes get away with relocating the feeder - even 10-15 feet away can fend off the bugs who keep looking back in the same spot, but the hummingbirds are usually crafty enough to look around and find it. Also, if yours is in direct sun, consider relocating the feeder to the shade - the bees tend to feed more in the sun.
