Bahama Mockingbird - Palm Beach County

Last night (04/30/18), Eric Ray and Chuck Weber found and photographed a Bahama Mockingbird at Lantana Nature Preserve in Palm Beach County, FL. The bird continued this morning (05/01/18) in the parking lot area and then worked its way back to the overlook area later in the afternoon. Parking is limited.

It has been brought to my attention that the directions to Lantana Nature Preserve posted on the South Florida Rare Bird Update are not accurate. I would be most appreciative if someone could provide accurate directions.

From I95 - Exit Lantana Road, eastbound to Federal Highway, turn South for about two blocks to the continuation of Lantana Road/Ocean Avenue, turn East. Over the intercoastal bridge, past Atlantic Age, then over a second smaller bridge, and look for the entrance JUST after the second bridge on the left (north side). Small parking lot, but there is a strip mall across the street on the south side with lots of parking.

That was meant to be Atlantic Ave...not Age. Don't turn N on Atlantic - continue over the second smaller bridge and turn in to the park right off of Ocean.

Thanks, Justin! I've updated the directions.
