2016 marks Audubon’s fifth year of leading Florida’s Jay Watch program. These curious and charismatic birds live in Florida’s scrub habitats across the state. As available habitats dwindle, this iconic species is severely threatened. With our partners, Audubon works to restore Florida Scrub-Jay habitat and collect data on the species through Jay Watch, one of our most robust citizen science programs.

I'm sad to see that scrub-jays have disappeared from Lake Kissimmee State Park. That was our go-to stop for scrub jays during TAS trips I've led to the Lake Kissimmee area.
