Spotted an Ani in our yard this morning at 165 Coral Road in Islamorada (ocean side from Rain Barrel Shops). Unsure which species. Saw it while mowing this morning. First spotted in mulch pile on lot west of the house, then in our yard. Birders are welcome.

Update: it's a Smooth Bill Ani. It's been following me around while i am mowing!

I stopped by around noon today and spoke with Kevin. Incredibly nice guy and fantastic yard filled with native plants. We didn't see the bird but Kevin showed me good photos of it perched on the handle of his lawn mower. Must be a mascot for a local landscaper!
