After hearing about yesterday's influx of migrants, and getting a brief glimpse of it myself in the afternoon, I asked Larry if he wanted to team up and try for a big warbler day today. He said sure, but he only had till noon. We started before 8:00 at two fruiting figs in my neighborhood that had good numbers of warblers and some vireos. We stopped by Sadowski next but no fruiting trees there and not many birds. Then we hit another fruiting fig in South Miami where Larry had good birds yesterday, and finished at A.D. Barnes where our best bird was a Warbling Vireo. We were over our time limit so we couldn't cover most of the park. We later heard that a Golden-winged had been seen there earlier in the day. With we could have put in more time. We got 18 warbler species and 5 vireo species and some other good stuff. A very nice migration fix, and while maybe not a fallout like the first two Warbler Valhallas in 2004 and 2011, today definitely came close in diversity.
