We have observed a group of 49 American Coots closely grouped grouped together around Lake Carlton in Lutz, FL 33558. I have seen Coots before in groups of 2 to 4 but never in this large of a group. They are staying closely grouped, not more than 1 or 2 feet apart and there are at least 49 of them. I have observed them since 3/3/17 and it is now 3/7/17.
