2 Flamingos in flight

Saw 2 flamingos just north of Alligator Alley. Very exciting! We were heading north on US 27 towards Holey Land WMA at 5:30 PM and saw the flamingos flying out of the southwest heading northeast. I see lots of roseate
spoonbills and I'm sure these were flamingos. Just sayin'.

Nice find. They are found in the farm fields in locations inaccessible to the public near where you saw them flying. So you are a lucky one. I've been on trips with TAS in th past that took us inside the DUDA Ranch where we saw dozens of Flamingo. I'm not sure trips inside DUDA ranch is even possible any longer. Brian, oh Brian....

Field trips to Duda Ranch, in Bell Glade, Palm Beach County, are arranged by Audubon of the Everglades, the Palm Beach Audubon chapter. They also run flamingo tours at STA-2, likely the source of the birds seen by Peggy. See http://www.auduboneverglades.org/field-trips/flamingoquest/ for STA-2 tour details.
