12/15/18 Miami-Dade CBC Summary

A total of 13,685 individuals of 131 species (134 taxa) were tallied by 60 participants during the Miami-Dade Christmas Bird Count on December 15, 2018. House Finch was reported for the first time on this CBC. Other unusual species included Parasitic Jaeger, Smooth-billed Ani, Yellow Warbler and Rose-breasted Grosbeak. New high counts were obtained for Magnificent Frigatebird, Parasitic Jaeger, Downy Woodpecker, Blue Jay, American Redstart and Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
